NAMM Show Gets the AX

January 28, 1999The Winter NAMM Show in LA saw the debut of the new Ibanez AX electric
guitar line. "The prototypes of these double cutaway solid body guitars
have already received high visibility thanks to Gizz Butt of the Prodigy and
John 5 of Marilyn Manson," commented Masashi Inoue of Ibanez USA. Designed
to be "no frills rock and roll guitars with a cutting tone needed for today's
rhythm and lead work," AX guitars feature mahogany bodies, set in necks
and medium output infinity pickups. The AX320 features a hip shot D tuner while
