The Box That Rocks is Kustom's Portable P.A.
System
January 28, 1999Kustom, Inc.'s competitively priced KPA4 portable P.A. system now comes
in an eye-catching new package called The Box that Rocks. This small, lightweight
system delivers maximum flexibility, superb sound quality and top performance
yet comes in one easy-to-handle, easy-to-store package. Ideal for use in smaller
venues such as clubs, churches or schools, the Box that Rocks contains all the
power and flexibility needed for places where a full-sized system isn't appropriate.
"Many smaller clubs are asking musicians and DJs to use compact equipment,"
noted Glenn Derringer, Kustom president. "The Box that Rocks is perfect;
it doesn't take much room and is easy to carry. The KPA4 can also be used as
a monitor system for a larger P.A. system."
Providing rich, full sound for the system are two KSC10 speakers with heavy
duty 10" woofers and 3" x 7" piezo tweeters. Frequency response
is 72 Hz to 20kHz. For extra flexibility, the Box that Rocks features a KPM4060
powered four-channel mixer head. Each channel is equipped with an XLR low impedance
(with phantom power) and 1/4" high impedance input for use with microphones,
electric or electro-acoustic guitars, keyboards, tape, CD player, or drum machines.
Each channel has its own volume control and wide range tone control as well
as a reverb control for the system's smooth-sounding spring reverb unit.
The master section features an overall master volume control, a three band
equalizer, master reverb and tape/CD input master. The unit also has a tape
in and out, a line level output for hooking up additional power amps or a monitor
amp and dual speaker outputs. A full 60 watts of RMS power is delivered into
a four ohm load. Ultra clean MOS-FETs bring this power to the speakers.
The KPA4 system is constructed of vinyl-covered, no-warp plywood for long-lasting
durability. Additional features are a 13/8" pole mount stand adapter, an
expanded metal steel grill and two 20 foot speaker cables. For more information, visit Kustom at http://www.kustom.com/ |
