| Raker Cymbals Incorporate New Surface Treatment

Cymbals have been a standard offering of the Meinl cymbal program for many
years. Their look and sound has been the preferred staple of many heavy-rock
groups over the years, primarily due their exceptional "cuttin" power
and overall sheer volume. This year Meinl will give the Raker series a facelift
with a specialized surface treatment and hammered bells on the ride cymbals.
This new "rolling process" will change not only the look, but also the
sound. Rakers will not only "cutting" in high volume environments, but
will have a focused high overtone spectrum and increased dynamic range. The
official "heavy music" cymbal can now be employed in a wider range of
musical styles. This will guarantee that the success story of Meinl and Raker
