Parker Guitars Introduces New Fly Maple Classic
January 28, 1999 Parker Guitars
announces the introduction of a maple version of its popular mahogany Fly Classic
guitar. This new model, dubbed the Fly Maple Classic, features a body crafted
from specially selected maple tonewoods, chosen for both their beautiful grain
and full, rich tone. Like all Parker Flys, the Maple Classic offers players
a lightweight instrument with a responsive feel, plus superb dynamics and presence.
Additionally, the Maple Classic shares the same unique features as other Fly
models, such as:
- the ability to produce electric sounds, acoustic sounds or the two combined
- a patented vibrato system
- spring-tempered stainless-steel frets
- locking Sperzel® tuning machines
- Fishman® active-piezo pickup system
- DiMarzio® humbuckers
- basswood neck reinforced with carbon and glass fiber
All Fly Classics are equipped with controls for master volume, magnetic tone,
magnetic volume, piezo volume and piezo tone. One three-position switch provides
the option of neck pickup, bridge pickup or neck/bridge inside coils, while
another three-position switch allows the player to change instantly from the
magnetic pickups, active piezos or a combination of both.
The Parker Fly Maple Classic is available in a rich transparent hazelnut brown,
and has a list price of $3200, which includes a molded hard shell case. It is
available immediately. For more information visit their web site at www.parkerguitars.com. |
