| Peavey Releases SP Subcompact 18 Subwoofer
 January 28, 1999 Peavey Electronics Corporation is proud to announce the release
of the SP Subcompact 18. The SP Subcompact 18 is an add-on subwoofer designed
to make it easy to add more low-end bass to the SP Series or other full range
speaker systems. Other uses include bass guitar and drum monitoring.
The
enclosure is constructed of 7-ply, 3/4" high-density plywood covered with
heavy-duty black carpet. It features a pole stand adapter and is reinforced
with liberal internal bracing and protective corners. Black powder-coated metal
grills protect the vent openings. Portability is made easy by recessed handles
on either side.
This low frequency response is loaded with an 18" Black Widow woofer mounted
in a dual resonant chamber. This configuration provides high output bass at
low distortion by controlling cone excursion and acoustically filtering out
high frequencies.
