Steinberg and Rocket Networks make it possible! A revolution to computer based music production! While the computer made it possible for the individual to do a lot on his own, Cubase VST now brings musicians together again. Wouldn't it be amazing to meet people from abroad to work on the same piece of music? Just sharing the same song- and audio-files? It happens!

Steinberg's Cubase VST is the first music production system to break out of the box. When Cubase VST is boosted with the Rocket Network's Internet technology, the VST studio becomes a global workplace. Each rocket powered Cubase VST is an entrance to a studio connecting musicians live over the Internet.

Cubase VST together with the Rocket Network's Internet technology makes it possible for multiple users of Cubase VST to work together and share projects, using the Internet as a live connection - using the functionality of Steinberg's Cubase VST so the working methods are entirely familiar. You don't have to be an Internet expert to make use of it; you just log into a studio and invite others to join you on a project. All members of the session are working together in real time. They all hear the work in progress, as it develops.

You can share one of your own projects, or work together on someone else's. The Internet is used to update it as it develops in real-time. All participants are working on their own aspects of the same arrangement. You have complete control over your contribution; you can publish your changes whenever you wish. As the other session players change the arrangement at their end, the changes are reflected on all other studios.

A rocket powered Cubase VST uses high quality MPEG3 audio file compression for all the real-time transfers. In the highest quality mode you won't be able to hear the compression in action. After the real-time session is over, the original files can be transferred in their original format to each of the session members.

Cubase VST with the Rocket Power Module has applications for producers wanting to do sessions in distant places, educational users bringing together groups of musicians, and those who wish to collaborate with others on projects without having to rely on a fixed location. It offers a new possibilities to seek out others and work together.
