Win a Gibson '57 Les Paul Goldtop signed by Lee Roy
Parnell June 12, 2001
You can win the '57 Les Paul
Goldtop Reissue Gibson Custom
Shop guitar that Lee Roy Parnell
used to record his new album,
Tell the Truth. He'll even sign it
for you!
Lee Roy recently debuted the
Vanguard Records release at a
private media release party at
Gibson's new Beale Street
Showcase in Memphis,
Tennessee.
Tell the Truth was recorded in
the legendary Muscle Shoals,
Alabama, studio where Lee Roy
cut his first song at age 18. It
features a return to the
Texas-bred slide guitar slinger's
blues roots and guest
appearances by Keb' Mo, Bonnie
Bramlett and fellow Texas
troubadour Delbert McClinton.
The album also marks Lee Roy's return to not only the
blues that first inspired him, but a return to a Gibson Les
Paul Goldtop as well. Parnell's first Goldtop was a 1956
model he bought when he was 15-years-old.
