Mackie Assumes Distribution of Soundscape Products
August 21, 2001Mackie Designs Inc. (NASDAQ: MKIE)
announced plans to assume all distribution activities for products
developed by Sydec n.v. of Belgium under the Soundscape brand name.
Sydec, a leading developer of advanced digital audio technology
products, was acquired by Mackie earlier this year.
This move ends a previously announced distribution agreement between
Mackie and Soundscape Digital Technologies Ltd., the UK based company
that has been marketing and distributing Sydec products under the
Soundscape brand name since 1993. Under this new arrangement, Mackie
will assume responsibility for the distribution and marketing of
Sydec-developed Soundscape products worldwide.

products under the Mackie umbrella, Soundscape dealers and end users
will benefit from Mackie's commitment to customer support and product
innovation. Even now, the Mackie and Sydec teams are working together on
