Cakewalk Sells Overture and
Score Writer Software to Newly Formed GenieSoft

Cakewalk has announced the sale of its Overture and Score Writer notation software products to
GenieSoft, a company newly formed to market, support, and further develop these music notation products. GenieSoft is founded by Don
Williams, the original and principal software engineer behind Overture and Score Writer.
Effective immediately, current owners of the Overture and Score Writer products may obtain technical support from GenieSoft, via phone

"Today Cakewalk is focusing on integrated music production systems for Windows, with flagship products like SONAR and SONAR XL. So
transferring ownership of Overture and Score Writer notation software products to Don Williams and GenieSoft made sense for our notation
