Digidesign Launches New Training & Education Program

Digidesign is launching the Digidesign Training & Education Program, a program that lends support to Pro Tools users through a network of education partners offering a specialized training curriculum, online certification testing, and promotion of certified experts and operators.
Digidesign's new program will compliment Avid's long-standing training efforts through AAEC (Avid Authorized Education Center) and utilize all Avid training facilities. Digidesign will also partner with additional centers to expand Pro Tools training further worldwide. One of the first of these new centers certified by Digidesign is Full Sail Real World Education of Orlando, Florida. Full Sail already employs over 20 Pro Tools TDM systems within their curriculum, empowering students to enter the workplace with real hands-on experience. The addition of Pro Tools certification will help ensure their readiness as audio professionals, and provide additional credibility to secure future employment.
Digidesign has carefully crafted this program to demonstrate a serious and long-term commitment to education and training on Pro Tools Systems. "We realize the need to become an active driver of Pro Tools education as it becomes so widely adopted by audio industry professionals," states Paul Foeckler, Digidesign's Director of Corporate Marketing. "As more and more people use our systems to create and produce, we feel a greater responsibility to help Pro Tools users get the most of their systems."
Digidesign's Training & Education Program features:
- Free educational resources for users to teach themselves Pro Tools, and test their knowledge to determine proficiency online.
- Pro Tools certified training curriculum through Digidesign Certified Training Locations, colleges or technical programs that integrate Pro Tools coursework within a larger audio education program that may span weeks or semesters, and Authorized Pro Schools, institutions that offer professional training in multi-day courses.
- Online testing for certification of Pro Tools Operators and Pro Tools Experts with a frame-worthy certificate for proof of certification. Pro Tools Operators are certified users who can competently operate a Pro Tools TDM system in a professional environment as an assistant engineer or entry-level editor. Pro Tools Experts are certified users who have reached the highest level and can operate a Pro Tools TDM system in a professional, fast-paced environment at an above-average skill level.
- Support of certified professionals through Premium AudioPages listings on DigiProNet.com. Pro Tools Experts and Operators will be listed in our online directory of audio professionals with a special certification designation to make it easy for people to hire qualified professionals.
