Steinberg Launches New Service for HALion Users February 15, 2002
Steinberg and Wizoo have announced
a new service for HALion users, set to begin February 18th. With the
introduction of wizoosounds.com, Steinberg has expanded its web content
activities. www.steinberg.net/wizoosounds and www.wizoosounds.com provide
direct access to sounds for musicians, around the clock and
from anywhere in the world. The online library offers a huge range of sampled instruments - in
studio quality and perfectly suited for use with Steinberg's software
sampler, HALion. Three different quality grades, phrase demos and
downloadable previews help to quickly find and test sounds. The chosen
samples can be either downloaded or written onto CD.
Wizoosounds.com is the alternative to sample CDs. Instruments can be found
and downloaded in a matter of minutes, for example during a recording
session. The best thing is that the user only gets and pays for the
instruments that are really needed.
The online library contains a total of 11 categories such as Drums &
Percussion, Basses and Guitars, Keyboards and Pianos, Voices and Choirs,
Wind and String instruments, Loops and Phrases. For users who have a
slower internet connection, wizoosounds.com offers iCD: the desired
selection is delivered to the user on CD ROM.
At wizoosounds.com, new sounds are being added all the time. Hundreds of
sounds are now already available. All sounds have been prepared for use
with samplers and can be used straight away. Laboriously putting together
single sounds to build instruments has become a thing of the past.
The user has a choice of delivery and payment methods - for example sounds
can be downloaded and paid for with a credit card or sent on iCD and paid
for with direct debit.
