New UK-Accredited Sound Engineering Course Offered Online February 18, 2003
Audio Masterclass announced a new 12-week distance
learning course leading to the UK accredited City & Guilds of London
Institute Sound Engineering 1820 Part 3 qualification.
The course consists of two modules on Recording Techniques and Music
Technology and is delivered via the Web and e-mail. Starting on February 24,
students receive weekly modules of tuition leading to the two examinations
on June 3 and June 4, 2003.
The City & Guilds qualification is certified by the UK government's
Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Audio Masterclass can deliver the
course anywhere in the world. UK students will take the exams in London.
Non-UK students are able to take the exams in a local center of education or
British Council establishment.
Although the Sound Engineering 1820 Part 3 course is a high-level course
roughly equivalent in standard to the first year of a University degree
course, it is anticipated that anyone who has achieved reasonable academic
success at school, has a keen interest in audio, and is able to express
themselves clearly in written English should have a very good chance of
success.
Audio Masterclass Course Director has had close experience of the City &
Guilds Sound Engineering 1820 course since its inception and recommends that
anyone with an interest, knowledge or experience in audio should take this
course to officially certify their achievement.
Through Audio Masterclass, the City & Guilds Sound Engineering 1820 Part 3
qualification is available worldwide.
