will be able to view the prototype of the world's first commercially

complete sonic tribute to the electric guitar and the role it has played in
shaping the sound of modern music.

"StringFever--A Century of Guitar Fascination" is titled
"Eclectic Electric," and presents the sights and sounds of the electric guitar
and its extensive musical vocabulary. It features the evolution of the
electric guitar through a series of interactive exhibits, guest artists and
historical artifacts, including the star attraction the changed the face of
music making: the Frying Pan.
The Frying Pan exhibition marks the second time the public will have the
opportunity to view this historic piece (and the first time the Frying Pan
has ever been publicly displayed in its native Southern California.) Its
debut was at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in 1996.
Normally, it resides beyond the public eye at the Rickenbacker International
Corporation's factory in Santa Ana.
