Mapex Wants to Help Create Your Dream Kit March 1, 2004
Mapex Drums has announced the roll-out of a
new program, the "Mapex Dream Kit," offering customized kits to
drummers through Mapex Dream Kit authorized dealers. The program has been
outlined in a new Mapex Dream Kit book, a 52-page color catalog
designed by Mapex Marketing Director Jeff Ivester, complete with all the
possibilities and instructions on how to order.
"This is truly a first of its kind in the percussion industry," announced
Ivester, who worked in the Gibson Custom Shop for several years before
coming to Mapex. "It is similar to a custom shop for drums, but this not
about adding a component here or a splash cymbal there. Rather, it is about
eliminating all barriers and letting drummers create the exact kit they
desire. It's really an IDEA book to get drummers thinking outside the box,
when it comes their set-up."
Drummers can choose from a selection of drums, each with its own wood
and size options, allowing for countless possibilities. Players then choose
from a huge variety of colors as well as select the finish they prefer. A variety of hardware and hardware configurations are also available,
empowering drummers to choose different drum configurations with no limits,
including customizing every piece of hardware right down to their stands and
pedals. All of the examples that are shown in the book feature premium Black
Panther Snare drums and Janus Ergo pedals.
Orders can be placed through Mapex Dream Kit Authorized Dealers who can also
provide customers with a price quote for a Mapex Dream Kit. All orders will
be custom-made and special orders are guaranteed for delivery at the
retailer in 85 days from order confirmation. Mapex has also authorized
special Dream Kit pricing incentives for players that order complete Dream
Kits. While selecting drums and hardware la carte for their dream kit,
players will still enjoy a large overall discount when purchasing a full
drum set.
Players can request a Mapex Dream Kit book by visiting their local Mapex
dealer, or by sending an email request to mapex@mapexdrums.com.
