First Annual Music Player Live Event Coming in October

August 27, 2005

Music Player Network is bringing to New York City the first annual Music Player Live! consumer music summit on October 21 to the 23. Hang with stars and professional musicians, see the latest gear, participate in panel discussions, attend master classes and attend impromptu music performances. The event also includes a concert at the Roseland Ballroom honoring the legendary Les Paul.

World-renowned artists--among them Les Paul, who will also be acting as Keynote Speaker, guitarists Pat Metheny and Larry Carlton and Soulive's drummer, Eric Krasno --will be on hand to answer questions, swap gig stories, talk about gear, shake hands, and pose for photos. Also making appearances are: Lisa Loeb, Johnny A, BT, Pepper's Ghost, Jon Brion, David Ellefson, Ric Fienbracci, Ron Carter, Gerald Veasley, Rob Balducci, Francis Preve, Tom Brislin, Jeff Rona, Peter Kirn, Bruce Gertz, Jimmy Douglass (The Neptunes), and more.

Hundreds of guitar, bass, keyboard, amp, software, and music accessory companies will be exhibiting at the show, and every one of them will have gear that you can touch, play, goof with, or just drool over. An exhibitor list is available on-line.

Seminars designed to educate and excite will be offered by stars, professional musicians, manufacturer representatives, and the editors of Bass Player, Drum, EQ, Frets, Guitar Player, Keyboard, and the Drum and Bass Collective. Music performances will also be presented throughout the event. You will discover all kinds of new players, new musical styles, and hear some of your favorites play in an up-close and intimate setting.
