July 22, 2000Azden Corporation, manufacturer of high-quality wireless microphone systems, is introducing the SGM-2X Professional Shotgun Microphone System. It is designed for both the Pro-Sound and Broadcast markets. The new microphone comes with two barrels, an omni (8.11" long) or, by adding the extension barrel, a supercardioid (15.75" long). Either configuration provides a sensitive (-50dB), low-noise, wide bandwidth signal (100Hz – 18kHz) through its balanced, low-impedance (680 ohm) XLR output.
The SGM-2X comes complete with an integrated shock-mount, with both camera shoe-mount and mic stand-mount, and two foam windscreens. The microphone is powered by a single "AAA" battery (not included), which lasts more than 250 hours.
The MSRP for the complete package is $300.00, with deliveries scheduled to begin in August. Azden Corporation
