Crate Pro Audio Introduces New
3-Way Enclosure, the PS158T
July 23, 2000This summer Crate Pro Audio plans to introduce the newest addition to their speaker line-up, the PS158T. This new three-way enclosure features a 15" woofer, 8" mid-frequency cone, a high-frequency horn and has a program handling of 400-watts RMS, 800 watts peak.
Each Crate Pro Audio speaker is subject to our TEF testing process, computer modeling and design, and is manufactured in the United States. TEF testing provides a visual display of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), frequency response and enclosure efficiency. We strive for the most musical enclosures possible with an extremely flat frequency response and a THD of 1% or less across the entire audio spectrum. In addition, our sound burst testing allows us to "time align" our components in the enclosure to produce a unified wavefront to eliminate sonic "smearing".
