Crest Audio's ST & LT Series Amplifiers

ST2000
LT2000
July 23, 2000

The new ST and LT Series amplifiers are very versatile, they have been designed from the ground up for use in fixed installations, night clubs, mobile DJ's, A/V rentals, MI/Pro Audio, and regional sound companies.

What makes ST series amplifiers different is the switch mode power supply that was two years in the making. ST Series amplifiers are full class D amplifiers with switching power supplies, that employ a resonant, zero-power switching technology. This switching technology results in an amplifier that sounds like a classic linear supply without the size, weight, and thermal waste. Long term reliability and efficiency is significantly improved, plus a 20dB lower noise floor is achieved. Best of all, ST amplifiers are built with large storage capacitors in the power supply, which contribute to solid low frequency performance. This is why common switch mode amplifiers fail to deliver real dynamic low frequency performance. Topping off at 1000 WPC @ 4 ohms, the largest model, ST2000, weighs in at just 24 pounds in 2 rack spaces.

All ST Series amplifiers have a frequency response of 10 Hz-20 kHz with THD less than 0.05% at rated power.

The ST Series line up:

  • ST500 (250 w/ch @ 4 ohms)
  • ST1000 (500 w/ch @ 4 ohms)
  • ST1500 (750 w/ch @ 4 ohms)
  • ST2000 (1000 w/ch @ 4 ohms)

The LT Series features Crest's next generation Linear Power Supply combined with a Class D amplifier to deliver high output in an extremely compact package. The LT Series linear-toroid transformers are not as large or as heavy as traditional linear supplies because they are coupled with our new Class D output stage that's 93% efficient. The LT Series performs consistently during the most demanding situations, delivering all the power you'd expect, without sonic compromise.

All LT Series amplifiers have a frequency response of 10 Hz-20 kHz with THD less than 0.05% at rated power.

The LT Series line up:

  • LT500 (250 w/ch @ 4 ohms)
  • LT1000 (500 w/ch @ 4 ohms)
  • LT1500 (750 w/ch @ 4 ohms)
  • LT2000 (1000 w/ch @ 4 ohms)
