PRESS RELEASE

Korg Releases Promotional CD Sampler of Their Highly Acclaimed Line of Dance Products

Korg ELECTRIBES and KAOSS PAD featured in new CD, with demos by leading dance artists

July 22, 2000

DJs, producers, remixers and fans of electronic music can now check out the unique sounds of Korg’s ELECTRIBE analog modeling synths and the KAOSS PAD Dynamic Effect/Controller on The Cure For The Common Groove, a special CD designed to introduce and demonstrate these products to the consumer.

This innovative CD sampler begins with an introduction to the ElectribeoA (EA-1), ElectribeoR (ER-1) and KAOSS PAD, by top British dance producer Ron Playford (David Bowie, Goldie) of Moving Shadow Records. An overview of the ELECTRIBES, as well as a "hands on demo" and description of key features, is presented by Gavin Mills, a principal player and hit remixer in modern dance music.

Next up are KAOSS PAD demos by leading dance music artists D.J. Face and B.D.F., and an exclusive KAOSS PAD remix by Grant Nelson (Bump & Flex, Indo, NNG). The "Artist Soundbytes" track features clips from many notable dance/DJ industry professionals about how they create fresh new sounds using Korg’s dance products. The grand finale is "The Jam" — ten tracks of original music recorded by Korg’s global team of electronic musicians demonstrating the ELECTRIBES and KAOSS PAD in action.
