July 22, 2000Mackie Designs Inc., announces that the popular SR24.4 and SR32.4 Sound Reinforcement Consoles have been upgraded to VLZ PRO Series status.
These two new sound reinforcement mixing consoles now offer the features and benefits which were introduced in 1999 on Mackie's 1202, 1402, 1642 and 1604 VLZ PRO professional compact mixers. These features place these sound reinforcement mixers at the top level of studio-grade quality mixing in all live sound reinforcement applications.
The SR24.4 VLZ PRO and SR32.4 VLZ PRO mixers feature Mackie's new premium XDR Extended Dynamic Range mic pre-amps. The new XDR mic pre-amps offer an exceptional 60dB-gain range, 0.0007% THD, 130dB dynamic range, and massive +22 line signal handling capability with ultra-low noise and the highest headroom in their class. In addition, RFI has been virtually eliminated utilizing bifilar-wound, DC-pulse transformers.
The SR24.4 VLZ PRO and SR32.4 VLZ PRO mixers will replace the current SR 24.4 VLZ and SR32.4 VLZ and will be marketed to Mackie's core product market base which includes professional FOH and Monitor engineers, local and regional club bands, club PA systems, major touring applications, secondary mix, and theater and multimedia performance applications.
Performance specifications have been considerably improved over the ratings of the original Mackie SR24.4 and SR32.4 VLZ mixing consoles.

The SR24.4 VLZ PRO features 20 mono mic/line channels, 2 stereo channels and 4 buses. The SR32.4 VLZ PRO features 28 mono mic/line channels, 2 stereo line channels and 4 buses.
