Yorkville Introduces New NX20 Speaker Cabinet

July 23, 2000The NX20 is 350 Watts, 8 Ohms and weighs less than 26 lbs. The enclosure weight and resonance are minimized, yet
strength maximized using variable density composite materials. The cabinet is extremely tough, extremely loud, UV and
moisture resistant. Even when loaded with 1 x 12" neodymium speaker and a unique proprietary 1" horn, It weighs in at a
less than 26 pounds (6.5 kg).
The NX20 is one of the first in a series of cabinets coming from Yorkville that will use custom designed neodymium
speakers for the low end. Lighter than conventional speakers by an average of 60%, and with superior heat dissipation,
the neodymium drivers exhibit no heat induced impedance shift. A conventional ceramic magnet speaker with
performance specifications like the NX20 driver would have to carry a 60oz magnet and supporting basket, making a
speaker weighing over 12 lbs.
The NX20
delivers a full 350 Watts, 65Hz-17000Hz, in a two way high efficiency speaker cabinet. Stand mount and flying hardware
are included.
In addition, the cabinet itself has been molded for maximum versatility. The trapezoid box is ideal for mounting in arrays,
or for use as a monitor, with recessed input jack plate and ideal wedge monitor angle taken into account in the initial
design. This one cabinet is an ideal P/A solution for install, for mobile DJ, or live music reinforcement.
As with all Yorkville speaker cabinets, the NX20 is protected by Yorkville's standard two year
transferable warranty and is distributed, exclusively in North America, by Yorkville Sound.
