Both guitars feature agathis sides, back and top for optimum tone, and both come with a rosewood fingerboard. MSRP for the MA-1 steel string is $139.99, MC-1 Nylon String is $129.99.

Also for beginners, as well as for those who want an affordable full-sized acoustic guitar that has all the tone of a more expensive model, the new DG-6 from Squier delivers. Again, agathis sides, back and top are featured on the DG-6, which has a natural satin finish. It comes with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, along with chrome-plated tuners. MSRP for the DG-6 is $179.99.
