Gibson Strings & Accessories has announced the introduction of Chet Atkins Strings for Electric/Acoustic guitar. These "Chet approved" premium quality strings are Tone TemperedTM and wound with a special alloy called Monel, making them the perfect choice for acoustic guitars fitted with piezo-type transducer pickups to get their electric sound. It is common for these types of guitars to sometimes suffer from a tendency to be overly bright or "tinny," and the warm, smooth tone of Gibson Chet Atkins strings helps to compensate for this characteristic, giving electric/acoustic guitars a more natural acoustic tone. They are available at all Authorized Gibson Dealers and come in three popular gauges; Ultra Light (.011/ .050), Light (.012/ .052) and Medium (.013/ .056). MSRP $14.95. As with all Gibson Strings, they carry an unconditional Gibson Guarantee of Quality and come with a free Gibson Guitar Collector Card inside. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.gibson.com/.
