Schlagwerks Cajon la Peru has been previously only available in Europe. Now these exquisite and versatile percussion instruments are available through Salwender International, Inc in Orange, CA. The Schlagwerk Cajon la Peru features an Alder body with a choice of beech wood or root wood playing boards. The box sounds like a small drum kit. The adjustable strings inside and the different sounds on the front board allow for a wide spectrum of uses. Cajons originate in Cuba and Peru. Schlagwerk perfected these ancient instruments and made them adaptable for traditional, as well as modern music. The Cajon la Peru has an advertised retail price of $334.00 for the beechwood version, and $356.00 for the rootwood edition.
