TC WORKS is showing an all new VST Instrument, Mercury-1, a Mac/PC Virtual Analog Software Synthesizer. Mercury-1 is a monophonic synth with four engines, each of which has a dual oscillator and an additional sub oscillator which are totally integrated in the Mac or PC-based VST-compatible audio recording environment. "Mercury-1 is the perfect solution for convincing and powerful "analog" sounding synthesis and is capable of creating fat bass sounds, convincing leads and classic synth effects," comments Ralf Schluenzen, CEO of TC Works. "it provides all the benefits of classic analog synthesis without the headaches of hardware synthesizers - all within a fast and intuitive user interface." Mercury-1 waveforms include Sine Wave, Saw Tooth, Triangle, Square, Pulse Width Modulation, Noise Generator for Oscillator 1 (White Noise). It also features Oscillator Sync & Ring Modulation, a 24 dB/Octave Low Pass Filter with Resonance, Two Envelope Generators, Key Follow, Gate, Extensive Modulation possibilities (MIDI assignable), an LFO with Sine, Saw Tooth,Square and Sample & Hold all with MIDI sync. When LFO sync is active, the LFO rate parameter automatically switches to display the tempo base(whole/half/quarter note etc.) for simple musical application. TC's proprietary SoftSat(tm) drive is also provided for analog sounding distortion. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.tcworks.de/.
