Tama first offered its professional Iron Cobra pedals in 1994. A second generation offered new features and upgrades and increased Iron Cobra's strong popularity with pro players. Now Tama is reaching out to an even larger number of drummers with the new intermediate-priced Iron Cobra Jr. pedals. The new Iron Jr. pedals include the most popular Iron Cobra pro features: Spring Tight adjustment, Beater angle adjustment, Paraclamp and a new DS30 beater which Tama states is 13% larger than their popular DS20 beater, but has the same weight). But while a pro Iron Cobra with a Powerglide offset cam currently runs $199.00, the Iron Cobra Jr. with the same style cam lists at just $109.00.
