Apogee Releases New Firmware for Pro Tools Interface Card July 24, 2001Digital audio conversion system manufacturer
Apogee Electronics (booth 1523) has announced the release of a new version of
their popular AMbus Digi8+ card, used to interface Apogee units like the AD-8000, AD-8000
Special Edition and Trak2 to Digidesign Pro Tools systems.
The new version is A5, and includes the new 3.0.0 firmware. Registered owners can upgrade free
of charge.
Improvements over previous versions include:
- Wider range of clock configurations
- Simplified operation
- Enhanced system stability
- Enhanced compatibility with all versions of Digidesign hardware and software
In order to insure complete compatibility between all Apogee units and all versions of Pro Tools
software and hardware, Apogee intends to insure that all Digi8+ card owners have the latest
Digi8+ card version, A5. Additionally, the company would like all users to benefit from the simpli-fied
operation offered by this latest version, thereby insuring consistency between all Apogee-equipped
Pro Tools systems.
