BitHeadz, Inc.nd Sonomic (www.sonomic.com), the world’s largest online library of professional samples and sound FX, today announced the signing of a major partnership agreement. Under the terms of the deal, Sonomic will be the exclusive provider of downloadable Unity DS-1 format (.uds) multisamples, and will put thousands of Unity DS-1 multisamples within a mouse click of any musician with Internet access.
This partnership makes Sonomic the first and only company to offer downloadable Unity DS-1 format multisamples. Unity multisamples will be available for download from the Sonomic web site on August 1, 2001, and new multisamples will be consistently added as Sonomic continues to grow its library. The current offering of multisamples will include sounds from some of Sonomic’s top sound providers.

Sonomic’s search engine will allow a user to search for Unity multisamples by instrument or keyword, preview the results in streaming audio, and then instantly purchase and download the sound files for immediate use in Unity DS-1. Unity users will also be able to access the Sonomic site through a menu link on BitHeadz’s website (www.bitheadz.com) and through the Unity DS-1 user interface in all new Unity releases and updates.
