Unity DS-1 Version 2.1.0 for Windows Adds DXi Support

July 20, 2001BitHeadz, Inc., the music software manufacturer, has
announced PC version 2.1.0 of the Unity DS-1 software. It will include support for Cakewalk's new
SONAR with Direct X Instrument (DXi) . The upgrade is expected to ship in the beginning of May, 2001.
Unity DS-1 version 2.1.0 will be a free upgrade to registered users. Enhancements allow Unity DS-1 PC
software based digital sampler to use DXi as a plug-in with Cakewalk’s leading edge audio and MIDI
sequencing technology, Sonar 1.0.
The upcoming version will make it even easier for the user to develop music. “This upgrade gives our PC
users the features they’ve been asking for”. Says André Rocke, Director of Marketing at BitHeadz, Inc.
“Direct X instruments, or DXi, allows plug and play simplicity by supporting automatic bank and program
name generation. There is also no need to go through any complicated procedures to connect MIDI to
