Line 6 has announced Vetta, their next
generation of guitar amplification. Using Line 6 s new Point to Point Interactive Modeling technology,
Vetta is capable of capturing a vastly greater magnitude of detail than ever before, even going so far as
to recreate the sonic effects and 'feel' of aged components such as transformers and filter caps. In addition to new versions of many of the models from POD and
Flextone,Vetta contains new models based on a Hiwatt 100 and Supro S6616, as well as new Line 6
original models: Line 6 Class A Drive and Line 6 Sparkle.
Vetta features the ability to provide the sound of two completely independent amps at once, Line 6s new
Double Tracker, independently assignable and routable stompbox effects based on Line 6s award-winning
Stompbox modelers, a routable effects loop, independent XLR balanced direct outs with the next generation
of A.I.R., Line 6 s proprietary technique for simulating the complex interaction of microphones and speaker
cabinets and the latest version of the revolutionary dual power amp that debuted with the Flextone II HD.
For performance control, the optional FBX Foot Controller offers independent switching for changing programs
and effects, wah and volume pedals which do double duty as assignable expression pedals for other amp
and effect parameters tap tempo, and tuner command.
The Vetta will be available in two different versions:a 50w/side 2x12 Vetta Combo, loaded with custom
design Celestion speakers, and a 100w/side Vetta HD head. Optional speaker cabinets include an
expansion 2x12 cabinet for the Vetta Combo, and matching 4x12 slant and straight cabs for the Vetta HD,
all with custom design Celestions.
Vetta and Vetta HD are scheduled to ship Autumn 2001 with retail price of $2399 each and $599 for the
FBX Foot Controller. For more information, visit their web site at www.line6.com. |
