Ludwig Introduces Classic Birch Drum Kits

July 21, 2001Ludwig has introduced Classic Birch outfits, featuring genuine Ludwig 7-ply, 7mm thick Birch and Italian Poplar shells, according to Jim Catalano, Ludwig marketing manager. Advanced drummers can now have the legendary look and sound of a Ludwig drum at a competitive price. The Classic Birch name replaces Rocker Pro.
The new outfits include the Power Outfit, Big Beat outfit, Fusion outfit, and the Jazz outfit. All are available in five new vintage sparkle wrapped finishes, which include silver, red, black, blue and gold. Five new natural satin finishes are also offered, in midnight black, hunter green, natural, sea blue and satin wine.
Classic features include Ludwig USA Weather Master drumheads, Elite double tom holder, low mass mini-lugs, 800 Series stands, and double silver Keystone badges. All Classic Birch outfits are made in the USA.
