Mackie Introduces New SA1521 Two-Way Active Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker

SA 1521 offers the same exceptional price/performance ratio currently available in Mackie’s highly successful SR1530 and SRM450 sound reinforcement loudspeakers.
The SA1521 is a two-way, bi-amplified, horn loaded, active speaker system designed to deliver high definition and extreme output levels for small to medium club bands, club PA systems, mobile DJs and churches; where it is also the ideal match for Mackie’s CFX series of compact mixers. The SA1521 features high-quality RCF Precision components including a 15-inch woofer with 2.5-inch inside/outside high temperature coil technology, and a one-inch exit compression driver mounted on a 75° x 65° mid/high frequency wide dispersion horn design.
The SA1521 is powered by a unique, integrated amplifier module that contains two separate amplifiers—one for each driver, which together generate a staggering 500 watts RMS of total power and an impressive maximum peak SPL of 130 dB. Integrated electronics provide electronic equalization, time correction and phase alignment along with complete electronic and component protection circuitry. The SA-1521 also includes a single line level control.
The Mackie engineered trapezoidal cabinet is designed to withstand Neanderthal-levels of roadie and rental company abuse. How? Mackie molds the top and bottom of the enclosure using a high-impact resistant composite resin. The front, back and sides are constructed of heavy duty, 13-ply Baltic Birch used by fine cabinetmakers and high-end audiophile speaker systems. The weight-balanced SA1521 features two large-grip side handles while top and bottom handles allow optimal portability, set-up and repositioning.
