July 22, 2001Peace Musical Co. has announced the arrival
of Slim Jim Phantom to their endorsement roster. Jim's
stand-up groves propelled the The Stray Cats’
infectious rock-a-billy sound in the 80’s and 90’s. His signature laid
back drive is the centerpiece of his latest project,
Col. Parker (featuring Gilby Clarke of Guns n’ Roses.)
Whether jamming with the legends of rock at The Cat
Club (Jim’s joint on the Sunset Strip,) or pounding
through Col. Parker’s upcoming CD release, Jim’s drum
of choice is Peace.
To commemorate the adoption of
Slim Jim to the Peace family, Peace's snare drum artisans
have created Slim Jim’s Phantom Beauty. This first
entry in the Batterie Artiste line of Signature Snare
Drums combines the classic elements of yester-year
with the technology of today. It’s 5 1/2”x14” brass
shell is accentuated with a Black Nickel plating to
draw out it’s high end properties. The hand-etched
designs on the sides of the shell create the look feel
of a custom hot rod, and it’s die-cast hoops further
compliment the shell with a blistering crack.
Available only for a limited time, Slim Jim’s Phantom
