PreSonus Unveils Four More New Products July 24, 2001The 2001 Summer NAMM Show in Nashville is where PreSonus is breaking new ground with four products for the pro audio, recording and acoustic guitar markets.
The first product is called the Tube Strip. Born from the award winning Blue Tube mic preamp, the Tube Strip features a single channel tube preamp with dual servo mic/instrument/line input along with a 3 band, semi parametric eq section. The Tube Strip features 70dB of gain with 22dB of headroom, making it extremely useful for critical recording and live performance applications. In addition the Tube Strip includes XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs with a 1/4" TRS insert.
Next, PreSonus extends the family of preamps with the Acoustique Tube Acoustic Instrument Preamp/EQ/Blender. Designed to give acoustic players the apex of quality and sound, Acoustique features a tube preamp with stereo inputs for accommodating both pickup and condenser microphone inputs. An internal mixer allows the user to blend the two signals to a mono XLR output. Next, the Acoustique features a comprehensive EQ section that includes a tunable notch filter, Brilliance and Bass controls along with a sweepable midrange control. Acoustique includes an external footswitch input that allows the performer to mute the overall output and also engage a preset cut/boost for adjusting the overall volume without touching a knob.
Lastly, PreSonus furthers their line of dynamics processors by introducing two Quad Dynamics Processors: The GTX44 Four Channel Frequency Dependent Gate/Expander and the CL44 Four Channel Professional Compressor/Limiter. Both of these products employ advanced technology by using Digital Sidechain Processing and a high quality analog signal path. The GTX44 features high and lo pass filters, variable attack, release and hold parameters and key listen control. The CL44 has a variable Hi Pass Filter with an independent limiter and full featured compressor. Both Quad products feature sidechain inserts, XLR i/o and a single TRS unbalanced i/o.
