Roland has announced the A-37 MIDI Keyboard Controller, a 76-note keyboard with channel aftertouch that makes a great centerpiece for today’s MIDI studios or live keyboard rigs. The replacement to Roland’s popular A-33, the new A-37 sports a sleek new look, an improved LED display, and is fully GM2-compatible. Two MIDI outputs and two assignable keyboard zones make the A-37 great for a variety of applications.

With its 76-note velocity- and channel aftertouch-sensitive keyboard, the A-37 gives keyboard players the ability to fully realize the potential of their modules—from expressive velocity switching on drums to filter cutoff via pressure on synth sounds and more. And to get the most out of these sounds, the A-37 includes Roland’s unique combination Modulation/Bender lever.

The A-37 is also GM2 compatible and stores 128 User patches with two independent zones—great for creating splits and layers. Other convenient functions include sequencer Start/Stop buttons, Clock TX and Transpose buttons, and an assignable Data Entry slider. A new 7-segment LED display makes parameter adjustment easy, while the A-37’s refined look appeals to even the most style-conscious musician.

Connections to the A-37 include MIDI In and Thru ports, two independent MIDI Outputs, plus Hold and Foot Pedal inputs.
