As the next generation of Roland’s popular AR-Series Audio Recorders, the new AR-3000 and AR-200 provide convenient, high-quality announcement recording and playback for a variety of applications. These two rackmountable devices use convenient PC cards for direct audio recording and playback—a technology with no moving parts—making them incredibly reliable and maintenance-free.

The AR-3000 is a one rack space digital audio recorder/player which provides unsurpassed sound quality up to 24-bit/48kHz, expanded synchronization with video decks and lighting systems, "daisy-chaining" of up to 31 additional units when using a single AR-3000 as the master—permitting multi-channel playback up to 64 tracks—and optional Ethernet networking for remote operation and data transfer.

Using a high-capacity ATA Flash PC cards, the AR-3000 can store and play back up to 2,000 different audio phrases. Its built-in RS-232C/422A port allows complete control of every front panel function, and PC-based control software can be customized for a wide range of applications. You can also control playback using direct contacts, binary control or via MIDI.

Expanded phrase editing in the AR-3000 allows for phrase-specific EQ, fade in/out, crossfading between phrases, seamless looping of phrases, ducking, time compression and expansion, and convenient trim, cut and paste functions.

The half-rack sized AR-200, like its big brother the AR-3000, utilizes a PC card slot for high-capacity, maintenance-free storage. It can play back up to 250 distinct 24-bit/48kHz audio phrases, and be synchronized with other AR-200s or AR-3000s using Roland’s AR Link technology or via MIDI.

Announcements recorded on previous AR-Series units can be converted into AR-3000/200 format thanks to a built-in data conversion feature. The AR-3000 features a digital input, while both the AR-3000 and AR-200 feature balanced audio outputs.

Designed for any situation requiring playback of pre-recorded announcements, the AR-3000 and AR-200 are ideally suited for broadcast studios, theme parks, museums and industrial sites where announcements, station ID's, narratives, safety messages and other directions need to be continually addressed.
