Steinberg Releases Cubasis VST 2.0 for Mac

July 20, 2001Steinberg Media Technologies AG today announced the release of Cubasis VST 2.0, entry level software based digital
recording studio for the MacOS. Cubasis was previously available in a PC version. Due to strong demand, this powerful
application is now available to Macintosh users.
Cubasis VST 2.0 Mac allows the music enthusiast to compose, arrange, record, press and distribute their creative work on
any Power PC equipped Macintosh. This comprehensive software application provides all the tools necessary for complete
music production. Based on the acclaimed Cubase MIDI engine, Cubasis VST 2.0 provides up to 48 tracks of digital
audio recording and 64 tracks of MIDI recording. Additional creative tools include the Universal Sound Module (USM),
the Neon Synth, a virtual synthesizer, VB-1 Bass Synth for a unique bass sound and the ready-to-groove LM-9 Virtual
Drum Machine. To distribute completed music, Cubasis VST 2.0 includes software to create and distribute MP3 files and
to master and burn compact discs.
