July 25, 2001Tech 21 has expanded its SansAmp line with the introduction of a 3-channel
programmable stomp box with three independent footswitches. The SansAmp TRI-A.C. combines the
warmth of a 100% analog signal path with the convenience of digital programmability.
Super simple to operate, you just dial up the setting you like, double click on a footswitch
and its saved in that channel. Changes can easily be made on the fly --without having to refer
to the owners manual. You can program any three sounds, ranging from sparkling clean to mega
metal, and access each one instantaneously. There are three pre-voiced amp styles per channel
from which to choose: Tweed, California and British. Each style has its own tonality and its
own input sensitivity, and each interacts differently to the dynamics of your individual
playing technique and to the signal level of the instrument.
Tech 21s proprietary SansAmp circuitry captures the rich, natural harmonics
and sweet overdrive characteristics inherent to tube amplifiers. Its built-in speaker emulation
encompasses all aspects of mulitply-miked tube amp rigs. Engineered for flexibility, SansAmp
TRI-A.C. includes on-board, 3-band active EQ, Drive and Level controls to customize and refine
your own sounds. It can be used with any amp/combo, power amp and speaker cabinet(s), with a
Tech 21 Power Engine 60, or plugged directly into a mixing console.
Slightly larger than Tech 21s other floor models, SansAmp TRI-A.C. measures 7.25l x 5w x 2h
in a likewise all metal housing. It is operable with a 9V alkaline battery (not included) that
will provide an approx. life span of 100 hours or with an optional power supply (Tech 21 Model
#DC2).
MSRP: $225.00. SansAmp TRI-A.C. is expected to ship in late Sept/early Oct. For more information, visit their web site at www.tech21nyc.com. |
