July 24, 2001The new 6 channel sound card SiXPack 5.1+ from TerraTec Electronic brings you surround sound on two, four or six (5.1) speakers, with the inclusion of a software DVD player. The sound system SiXPack5.1+ is available now.
For hardcore gamers the SiXPack 5.1 + offers all current 3D standards like A3D and EAX 1.0/2.0 alternatively through headphones, or two or four speakers. The well thought out DSP routines from the Sensaura 3D technology guarantee optimal sound for every loudspeaker configuration. Via the Sensaura Multidrive technologies, MacroFX and EnviromentFX accelerate DirectSound3D, A3D and EAX 1.0/2.0, with minimal CPU usage.
The SiXPack 5.1 +´s optical digital input synchronizes itself automatically to 32, 44.1 and 48kHz. The Control Panel informs you about the present digital inputs status - like Pre-Emphasis and Copy Protection. The digital output keeps the connection to the "real" world with 48kHz for connection to DAT and MiniDisc recorders as well as other equipment. Pre-Emphasis and Copy-Protection can also be set.The software DVD player forwards the AC3 stream (e.g. Dolby Digital) to the digital output.
You also have 1024 voices at your disposal with 8 MB of sounds. And support of DLS 1.0 makes it possible to replace the included sound set with your own individual instrumental layout. Two separate CD inputs (e.g. for burner and DVD ROM), headphones, and wavetable connector are also included. With the Control Panel the user can configure the sound system SiXPack 5.1+ entirely according to individual desires. Once made, settings can be comfortably saved and simply reloaded as required.
The included software package is also worth mentioning: on one hand the software DVD player creates a movie theatre atmosphere, on the other hand MusicMatch Jukebox burns, decodes and encodes MP3 files - and last but not least the audio and MIDI sequencer Emagic Logic Fun makes professional music production possible.
