Akai Announces MPC2000XL-ZP

Akai Musical Instrument Corporation has unveiled the 100MB ZIP equipped MPC2000XL-ZP. The MPC2000XL-ZP comes standard with an internal 100MB ZIP drive and includes a 100MB ZIP disk.

Akai Professional has not forgotten the MPC loyalists who have already purchased MPC2000XLs and desire to have the convenience of an internal ZIP. To accommodate these current users, Akai has also introduced the KIT-ZIPMPC2 and the ZIP-MPC2.

The KIT-ZIPMPC2 is a retrofit package that will allow the installation of a 100MB ZIP drive. The kit includes jumper pins, an IDE cable, power cable, and the necessary screws to install your 100MB ZIP drive.

The ZIP-MPC2 is an all-in-one offering for those who aren’t interested in sourcing their own ZIP drives. This package contains the KIT-ZIPMPC2, a 100MB ZIP drive, and a 100MB ZIP drive.
