SD-90 USB Digital Studio from Edirol

Edirol Corporation has introduced the SD-90 USB Digital Studio, touted as the world’s first audio interface and MIDI tone module in one desktop unit. Capture analog or digital audio to your computer. This USB device has over 1,000 MIDI instrument sounds, 36 drum sets, is capable of 64 note polyphony and is 32-voice multi-timbral. Works with most multi-track audio and MIDI recording software for both Mac and Windows platforms.

Specifications: 1. 24-bit/48 kHz DAC converters, 2. 2-input/2-output MIDI connections, optical/coaxial S/P DIF input/output, 1/4" discreet guitar/microphone inputs and 1 stereo RCA plus 2 stereo RCA outputs with RSS 3D sound modeling. 3. GM2/GS compatible rich sound source selections, 4. guitar, vocal, ambience and mastering effects for audio and 5. USB connection to computer. SD-90 is compatible with ASIO2.0 (WIN/MAC), MME (WIN) and Sound Manager (MAC).

Release date for the SD-90 is Fall 2001.
