New Tony Iommi Signature SG from Gibson

July 26, 2001

As the lead guitarist with Black Sabbath, Iommi laid down a musical foundation not only for a band but for an entire genre of music. He served as an inspiration and influence on the metal and grunge guitarists of the 1980s and ‘90s.

Tony has a long relationship with the Gibson ’61 SG. The success of a limited edition signature model from Gibson’s Custom Shop prompted Gibson USA to make an Iommi guitar available for all his followers. The Signature imstrument will feature Tony Iommi Signature humbuckers, his trademark cross insignia, Tony Iommi Signature decal on the truss rod cover and Signature deluxe hardshell case.

Available at Gibson authorized dealers Fall, 2001.
