Jackson Guitars (AMIC) announced the new MG Series today. The MG Series has Jackson exclusive EMG HZ pickups made specifically for Jackson guitars with non-exposed pole pieces for a cleaner, cooler look than the normal EMG HZ pickups as well as a new 20db variable boost called the EMG TurboCharger. "These new models have some new tricks on them. We wanted them to be different looking and sounding from the rest of the line so we specd them with the EMG HZ pickups that are our exclusives and the new TurboCharger from EMG. We also wanted another distinction so we used the new Piranha inlays instead of the Sharkfin. The Piranha inlays give it a new look and kind of signify the aggressive attack and relentless gnawing these instruments have. The only exception to the inlays is the new CMG bass. It has the Sharkfin inlay and it doesnt have a TurboCharger, it has an EMG B30EQ, which is a 3 band active EQ. They should hit the stores in the September." according to Kevin Easton, Marketing Director of Jackson/Charvel Guitar Company. "These instruments are going to scare some folks and well thats what we intended to do." The list price/MSRP of the Jackson Guitars MG Series is: $649.00 to $849.00 MG Series Features
Available colors: Black, Cobalt Blue, Black with Heavy Sparkle, Platinum with Heavy Sparkle, Black Forest and Gold Metallic. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.jacksonguitars.com/.
