M-Pulse Walkabout Bass Amp for Bassists on the Go
July 27, 2001

Mesa/Boogie's Walkabout is the small member in the M-Pulse family, delivering almost all the features of the larger M-Pulse 360 and 600, but with a lighter package that's a little easier on the back while maintaining enough power for smaller gigs. The Walkabout uses the same hybrid tube-driven MOSFET power amp design of its larger counterparts, but at a slightly more modest 250 Watts of power. A direct out is also provided so you can supplement the amp with a house system. The tube preamp section is the same as the larger amps as well, including the active treble/bass controls and passive mid. The Walkabout's semi-parametric EQ provides three bands of control as opposed to the five bands in the M-Pulse 360 and 600. The head design does allow for rackmounting with optional removable rack ears with the same aluminum finish. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.mesaboogie.com/.
