Peavey Electronics brings together power, tone, and now effects in the TransTube 112 and the 212 EFX. The difference between the two models is the 112 EFX is a 1 x 12 combo with 65 Watts and the 212 EFX is a 2 x 12 combo with 80 Watts. The effects include: flanger, delay, octaver, touch wha, reverb, rotating speaker, chorus, phaser and tremolo. First of all, players can program three presets consisting of a clean or dirty channel with simultaneous modulation effect, reverb and delay this means that you could have one channel clean with a rotating speaker, reverb and delay, one channel dirty with touch wha and delay, and one channel dirty with an octaver all selectable with the included footswitch. However, the footswitch is a four-button footswitch three for the pre-set channels and a fourth that allows you to switch individual effects. When you are in bypass mode, you can add other effects real time with the footswitch. The effects section also has wysiwyg technology, so you can actually see what the other effects settings are, unlike other amps with effects. In addition to the variety of effects, the TransTube 112 and 212 EFX also have new style switches that control five different amp sounds. Guitarists like amplifiers to have more flexibility than a single amp tone. The selections include: vintage, modern, high-gain, boost and ultra.
