Planet Waves Revises Planet Lock System
July 22, 2001

Planet Waves has revised the Planet Lock System to better accommodate guitars with hard-to-reach end pins. The new Planet Locks design allows the lock to swivel, so it will fit better on guitars, especially those with end pins that are located on the back of the guitars body. The Planet Lock is also now made with an overmolded, soft rubber bottom that is safer for delicate guitar surfaces. "The original Planet Lock was well-designed, but we felt it could be even better," says Planet Waves Brand Manager Patrick Zerbo. "With the newly added swivel-feature, the Planet Lock is now easier to use than standard leather ends on virtually all guitars, plus the Planet Lock is the only locking-system strap with an overmolded rubber bottom." The patented Planet Lock is available on the 44-series nylon guitar straps and will be introduced on less expensive polypropylene guitar straps at Summer NAMM.
