Korg has expanded its Concert Series line of digital pianos with the introduction of two new models, the C-6500 and C-3200. These new 88-note pianos offer the latest in Korg technology housed in crafted wood cabinets. Both instruments feature 64-note polyphony, acoustic piano sounds, and three pedals (damper, soft, sostenuto) for more sound control.

Each model's keyboard features its own real weighted hammer action design that provides a heavier action in the lower register and lighter action higher up, just like a real grand piano. Plus, a variable touch control lets the user select a light, medium or heavy velocity response.

To provide expressive piano sound, the C-6500 utilizes "Dynamic Switching" to change between two sets of stereo piano samples in response to the user's playing. The C-3200 delivers two newly-sampled, highly-expressive stereo grand piano sounds.

In addition to pianos, both models also provide high-quality electric piano, harpsichord, organ, strings, and bass. The user can split these sounds across the keyboard or layer them for rich, new tones. Reverb and chorus can be applied in varying amounts to enhance any sound.

The C-6500's bass reflex speaker system is designed to convey the depth and spaciousness of its piano sounds. Its 12 cm speakers in a boxed enclosure deliver rich lows, and 5 cm tweeters produce clear highs with superb presence. The C-3200 is equipped with 16 cm speakers and both pianos feature powerful 20 Watt amplification systems to deliver sounds with crystal clarity and presence.

Additional features include a two part 14,000 note recorder, MIDI In and Out, Audio In and Out, key transpose, metronome, historical temperaments and 24 built-in demonstration songs the user can play along with.

Both pianos come equipped with a key cover (soft closing on C-6500), and are housed in a rich brown walnut cabinet that matches any décor.

The Korg C-6500 and C-3200 are currently available, with suggested list prices as follows: C-6500 -- $2,700.00; C-3200 -- $2,200.00.
