At the NAMM Summer Session, Line 6 announced its newest guitar
amplifier line, Duoverb. Duoverb amplifiers fuse the tone heritage and simplistic
appeal of classic tube amplifiers with Line 6 patent-pending technology to deliver incredible
tone shaping versatility, two amplifier models at once, and commanding on-stage volume.
The Duoverb line consists of a 100 Watt stereo 2x12 combo, a custom-voiced 2x12 openback
extension cab and a 100 Watt stereo head. The Duoverb head is perfectly matched to
the Line 6 412S series of 4x12 stereo cabinets. The combo and all cabinets feature Celestion
speakers custom designed to Line 6 specifications.
Duoverb contains the Line 6 exclusive "two-amps-at-once" feature, by which guitarists can
play through two different amplifier models simultaneously. Both amplifiers function
independently of one another with different tone controls and FX sends. A unique "Split/
Blend" control allows the player to route the amps to the left and right speakers/cabinets
separately or to send the output of both amps to all speakers/cabinets simultaneously. An
included A/B footswitch allows instant activation of either or both amps.
"Duoverb is representative of a new category of amplifiers," said Marcus Ryle, co-founder
and vice president, product development, Line 6. "We've included our exclusive two-amps-at-once feature and our state of the art Point to Point Interactive Modeling technology
that we first introduced in our flagship Vetta amplifier line. The result is an easy to use amp
that delivers world-class tones with more than enough power to rock the house."
Duoverb is compatible with both Line 6 self-powered FBV floorboards. These optional controllers provide additional functionality to the amps including: access to 36 Presets,
large name display, Wah/Volume pedal with toe switch On/Off, and chromatic tuner.
"Duoverb provides guitarists with an unparalleled array of amplifier tones, and yet the
design is elegantly simple--just plug in, turn the knobs and play," said Mike Muench, chief
executive officer and president, Line 6. "Tone, volume, simplicity and style, along with the
versatility of two-amps-at-once, are the hallmarks of the Duoverb line."
