Line 6 today announced Vetta upgrades scheduled to be available
in August 2002. Vetta is Flash-upgradeable, which enables consumers to easily obtain
new features and sounds. The new upgrade includes three new amplifier models, artist-based
presets, and a variety of new software enhancements.
The three new amplifier models in the Vetta upgrade are based on modern high-performance
heads. The tightly focused and aggressive, Bogner Uberschall, vintage-flavored overdrive
of the Bogner Ecstasy and the low-end rumble and attack of the ENGL Powerball, add even
more tonal variety to the already broad range of Vetta's model roster.
"Vetta amplifiers enable Line 6 to continually provide its customers with the added value of
new sounds and features," said Mike Muench, chief executive officer and president, Line 6.
"We have listened to the needs of our customers and can now meet their requests in a
quick, efficient way."
The Vetta upgrade will also include a new artist-based preset bank. The new presets cover
the stylistic spectrum from British Invasion to Nu Metal, offering the signature sounds of the
most influential electric guitarists.
The Vetta upgrades will be free of charge to all Vetta Combo and Vetta HD customers.
Consumers with a PC or Macintosh with a basic MIDI interface can access the upgrades via
the Line 6 web site.
