July 20, 2002The Summer NAMM show brought the new Ecoustic 110 and 112 acoustic guitar amplifiers from Peavey. The Ecoustic 110 and 112 are not only perfect for amplifying any acoustic/electric instrument, but the Ecoustic's three fully independent channels make them a multi-use amplifier for vocals, drum machines and keyboards in solo or full-band setups.

Two of the Ecoustic's three channels feature independent five-band graphic EQs, as well as independent chorus, flanger, delay and rotating Leslie effects. Both amp models feature Peavey's Freq-Out feedback eliminator on the Instrument channel. By targeting the exact problem frequencies, the Freq-Out blocks feedback before you even hear it and without cutting volume.

The microphone channel includes a phantom-powered, balanced low-Z input and a high-Z input that can be used for drum machines or tape decks. The auxiliary input features its own independent Low and High controls. The Ecoustic series amps also feature a phase reverse switch and an optional, semi-programmable footswitch.

The bi-amped Ecoustic 112 drives 100 Watts to the lows and mids and 25 Watts to the highs into its 12" speaker, while the bi-amped Ecoustic 110 drives 30 Watts to the lows and mids and 10 Watts to the highs into its 10" speaker. The Ecoustic 110 amp also features a CD/auxiliary input.
